Every Day Counts...

Today has been a day I will never forget... The opportunity to share in one of the most private moments of ones life - their death. My grandmother and Ken's mother, Jean Waite passed away this evening surrounded by family. Her death was definitely a surprise and there aren't words to express not only the emotions of a sudden passing, but the subtle reminder of how important each day is for every one of us. I am going to make every day count a little more in honor of the tremendous impact my grandma has had on my life over the years. You're with me forever.

Please keep my dad as well as the rest of his family in your prayers through this difficult time.

For death is no more than a turning of us over from time to eternity. ~William Penn

We are so terribly sorry for your loss. Jean was a great person and a terrific mom and grandma--while we were not with her often, we have thought of her as our family, too. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Love you all,
Tom and Sue

My sympathy to all your family. What an inspiration she was to leave such an impact on her granddaughter. Grandparents are a wonderful role model for the next generation and it is wonderful when they are able to share so many precious years with them. She was a special lady indeed. Our love and prayers to you all. Melanie Bickar

My husband and I went to school and Mr. Waite was teaching at Weatherwax at the time. He was a great guy and loved by many. Although we did not know his mother personally, our thoughts are with you and your family during this sudden loss.

Kenny,
Just wanted to say "I love you" and I'm real sorry about your mom. I know she was a real special person to have raised an amazing individual such as yourself. Stay strong, my friend. We are all thinking about you and praying for you. Someone's bound to beat this horrible disease, and if anyone can, you can. xoxo

I just wanted to add my condolences to the rest here. Mr. Waite was my geometry teacher about a million years ago. I remember that Jimmy Boora was in my class, and we would take turns "checking" our answers in his teacher's volume in the front of the class, then "shared" them with each other.. I of course got a C.. but was a great class.. He made an impression on me, I still remember his charisma and charm and just genuine kindness.

I am sorry to hear that you are sick, and that your mom has passed away also. It can't be easy.

Will keep you and all of your family in my prayers..

Keep up there on the top shelf..
